  2. Launch the player — it displays a 6-character device key
  3. In the dashboard, go to Dashboard → Players
  4. Click "Add Player" and enter the device key
  5. Give the player a name and optionally assign tags or a group
  6. The player activates and begins syncing content within seconds

Player Monitoring

The dashboard provides real-time visibility into all registered players:

  • Status: Online, offline, or error — updated via 60-second heartbeats
  • Current Content: See what's currently playing on each screen
  • Last Seen: Timestamp of the last heartbeat received
  • System Info: OS, app version, screen resolution, and network details
  • Uptime: Percentage of time the player has been online

Remote Control

Manage players remotely without physical access:

  • Reboot: Remotely restart the player application
  • Screenshot: Capture what's currently on screen
  • Clear Cache: Force the player to re-download all content
  • Update: Push application updates to the player
  • Reassign: Move the player to a different schedule or group

Offline Support

Players cache content locally. If the network connection is lost, the player continues showing the last synced playlist. When connectivity is restored, the player automatically syncs any updates. The heartbeat system detects offline players and notifies administrators.
